  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I really messed up guys, I got my 2nd dui and I was in the process of joining the Marines and things were going great. now my cars gone, and I am facing this trial....please pray for me. I am an idiot. I have no hope in my heart right now, im extremely depressed. My recruiter cant do anything for me either.....oh boy...*gasp*

This may or may not help...I spent some time in the army, the military isn't all it's cracked up to be, you'll find yourself realising how good you have it back home! Also, drinking amongst other temptations can be especially strong in military culture. I can't say I miss my army days.

If you don't get in, do not despair mate. God will have something MUCH better planned for you, guaranteed.

If it is meant to be that you get into the Marines, then it will happen, count on it!
