Prayers for friend with Leukemia

Hello! I've written briefly before about my little brother, he has severe depressive disorder and has tried to commit suicide twice. He doesn't have any friends or any decent male role models, our father left when he was young and I know it's been difficult for him living with three women. In the last year, God has opened up doors and given him his first job and a mentor-friendship with this older man who in turn, lost his own son many years ago. He's been a wonderful influence in my brother's life and a good family friend. He takes my brother to breakfast and on errands, so they have time to talk. My brother helps him a lot at work because he's often getting sick.

The man has been diagnosed with leukemia, and my brother has been very concerned. I've worked in the medical field so he often asks me questions about tests and medications and health insurance, because he desperately wants to help his friend. My brother told me one night when they were working, his friend coughed up blood. My heart aches for this man and the family that depends on him (wife and grandson he is raising), as well as for my little brother who's found a friend & father figure in this man. My mom and I often discuss what to do when/if the time comes, that this man passes on.

Please pray for his health and wellness, for financial support to aid him in his care and mental stability for my brother. I pray that my brother find God in all of this, and that he doesn't find a reason to be angry with God, but instead be compelled to seek him. I also pray for my brother's friend that while faced against his own mortality, begin to question and seek God, and that even maybe someday, my brother can find Him too, and help his friend. My brother's been raised in it and believes there is a God, but has had difficulty opening his heart to Him.
