The lumber mill I've been working at for the past two years closed this morning so everyone got laid off. Considering the fact that my girlfriend and I just got engaged and with all of the financial responsibilities I have to get in order before the wedding in less than 11 months (January 1st, 2010), this is NOT good news in the least. I've applied all over town at various places for full time and part time work so I'm hoping some fruit comes of it, but it's been really hard for anyone to get a job around here anymore. Please be in vehement prayer for me and my fiance. There's a lot to get done in less than a year and this development feels like a step backward, not forward. I know that it's part of God's plan and that He has something better for me planned somewhere down the line, but it's hard to stay optimistic when everything seems to be falling apart despite the fact that you know you've been following God in your decisions.
