FOR THE LOVE OF GOD &CF
-a call to prayer –​

I have read and reread and studied more than a few petitions to Erwin, historically and in recent days. They have always been from a significant minority of CF members, even amidst claims otherwise, and have mostly been in regards to CF offerings, leadership, or management of the site. Some signers have expressed great delight in their CF experience from either the well of their personal beneficial CF experience or from a bond of loyalty to a nobility of enfranchisement. Some signers have expressed great concern to stem harmful activities and abuses from their witness of such in their personal CF experience and disenfranchisement of representation or participation. Some have insisted there must be an ‘us’ and a ‘them’ and that any ‘opposition’ must either be maintained in a balance or completely and forcibly “silenced” and “eliminated” as the only avenue to peace. One ‘side’ or the ‘other’ often claims to be representative of a majority of a past and present CF membership in opposition to a “loud few” and solely having the best interests of CF’s membership at heart. Many of the very ones whose actions have been characterized as “deceitful” and “evil”, both among present Staff and even those who are no longer active at CF, are dear souls responsible for hours upon hours of diligent service to CF and selflessly contributory to many of the features prized by its membership, including the CF welcoming & prayer fora, CF armory, characters & pets, community rules of fellowship and debate, CF quizzes, games, & a generous disbursement of blessings, helps with avatars, banners, and homepage design, sound defenses of the Christian faith, and heartfelt fellowship and outreach to people in need.

I would call all those Christians concerned for the CF community to join in Christian prayer, and all others so concerned to a quiet reflection and meditation on proper community dynamics of doing unto others as you would have them do unto you. To our shame, I have found that some of CF’s non-Christian members have exemplified a better Christ-like and loving comportment than many of us in Christ. I would call us all to repentance and love. That would appear to be what all the leadership of CF needs and needs to hear from all those who indeed love the people affected by the CF message board. It is the primary message Jesus the Christ would have each of us express and to which we ought to principally sign our agreement.
