  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I ask that you please continue praying for me concerning finding a job. I had another phone interview today - with a church in Tulsa, OK - for a youth ministry position. This time, I actually didn't feel horrible after talking to them about things! (This could be a good thing, but I'm not getting my hopes up about this - it just could be good).

I have quite a few more resumes sent or to send as well. Thanks!

Thanks. . .not long after I posted this, I got a call back from them! No guarantees that I have the job, but I was invited to visit the church THIS WEEKEND. So, I'll be gone from Sat-Mon doing just that! Tonight, I also got one of those pre-pre-interview type calls from a church in Florida. Lots of calls and e-mails have been coming, so your prayers are definitely being heard!
