Matthew 7:7-8 [niv] Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who ask receives; he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.

There is no such thing as a prayer being to small or being to large for our Lord, God. Prayer is a daily conversation with our Heavenly Father. God wants us to converse with Him all day. How much easier would our day be if we would stop for a minute and silently prayed before we made any decisions.
"What would you have me do Lord?"

How many times would "not so nice words" not come out of our mouths if
before we uttered them we asked God what he would say?
Practice being in His presence today and consulting the Lord on even the smallest task. I promise, peace will return to your heart.

I fully agree with your post. I have been learning to pray before I speak and believe me He helps keep my foot out of my mouth lol

In my years I have taken my foot out of my mouth many, many times
I have learned to pray before I now speak.
Doing this saves a lot of heartache to those you love.
