  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm not the type of person who prays a lot, so I need all your help and prayers. I found out that my girlfriend of a year kissed another guy, so I am asking for your help in overcoming the rage I am feeling. I'm also praying that I don't do anything stupid to the guy this weekend while home from college, and that I don't let the anger that bested me so often during highschool, return and show its ugly head. I really don't feel like spending a night in jail, so please pray for me.

Jail! Sir, you need to curb those destructive emotions before they result in tragedy. God has something better in mind for you than to conform to such hatred. I know you are hurting, and that is understandable...to some degree. My advice for you is to get down on your knees right now and talk it out with God. I assure you, He cares.
