  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Will pray for you I know how hard it can be/is.
Have you ever hear of the series of books called Every Young Man God's man, or Every Young Man's Battle (there are some for girls too). I have the first one and I can say from experience that it does help. Sometimes I wish I had the Battle one as I understand that it is directed at this type of problem, but I don't so I cant say if it is good but it has some good reviews.
If you can get an accountability partner that can really help as well, a close christian friend or role model, and then you can have someone that you can contact as soon as you are getting a strong temptation.

Philippians 4:13 : I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
