  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

My sister's grandson, 4 yrs old, was in a ATV accident yesterday. He is in very back condition. I don't know the details. But he was flown from one hospital to another for treatment.

Just talked to my father ... he has not breathed on his own in 24 yrs and tests indicate he is brain dead. So the decision to pull the plug will be 8PM tonight.

Thanks. Prayers for the family ... some are Christians some aren't. Pray no one gets bitter toward God.

I was planning on going up there this weekend but will make a decision later on if I'm still going.

I'm back home. It was a tiring weekend. But good to see my family. I wasn't close to the boy who died or his parents. But my sister was hurting bad and the family she married into. The mother and dad have been separated for years and this will had to the tension between them. The have an older daughter also.
