Please remember me the next time you pray, I need it....

My dad is an alcoholic and is sneaking drinks. He goes in the garage and drinks, he drives to a liquor store and gets almost drunk, he is addicted to pills. Its so hard to live with him, he changes so much. He is not mean or aggressive towards me but he is towards his girlfriend of 7 years. He is aggressive towards her verbally.

As I type him and his girlfriend are arguing about it and now the relationship is "over".

My dad just came in my room to ask me if I wanted to go stay the night with him in a hotel because he and her broke up. Ha! Like I would get in a car with a man who has been drinking. I would just like you to remember me when you pray tonight. Please pray that God will help him and that his addictions will have him not loose our house, his relationship, and soon....me

Hiya Jesusfreak29, sorry to hear of your challenges. It can be a difficult thing to deal with.

Have you ever considered outside resources like Alateen?

My mom is a recovering alcoholic....one year in fact on May 31....yeah, I have heard of Ala-teen and I attend a meeting on Tuesday nights....im still trying to tell myself that I cant control the alcoholic....i have to worry about myself not the alcoholic because the alcoholic is not going to change unless they want too

its hard....but at least i am only at my dads for two weeks every month
