• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a great day!
I am asking for you to pray for my husband. He is currently having a lot of struggles, mainly with alcohol, keeping feelings bottled up, and his relationship with God. Praise God that he recognized he has a problem, even though it isn't very evident to anyone (he drank everyday, but maybe 2-3 beers...but it was gradually increasing--two weeks ago he got drunk, blacked out, acted a fool, lost control and got all agressive with his friends, came home very upset, hurt, realizing he had some issues) and he hasn't drank since. He has become more open to going to church with me, especially since I changed churches (problem with my old church listed in NON DENOMINATIONAL thread), and he is trying to express his feelings assertively without bottling up and exploding later.

I ask that you pray for God to continue to work on his heart, and that he have strength as he battles these things that are restricting him from being what God wants him to be. Thank you for reading, God bless, and keep you!

A prayer has been sent. I'm so glad you came on here to have others pray for your husband. What a big step he has made, and praise God that he has stopped drinking. May God bless you and your husband, as you both go and grow through this!! big (((hugs)))
