Prayer request as designer

Hi all, new to the group I have a keep struggle going through both a designer career and Christianity. Perhaps I am still quite young to Christianity. I need help from loving people.

As Christian, I was told to behave and learn to be a wise person willing to love and share. But what happened was in a designer career, our work and idea are our bread. I did try sharing my ideas and work among my competitors, but end up my works are being stolen without my permission. I got really angry about it.

I try to share with the willingness to share what I got from Christ. The passion in art and the way to admire the nature. I have no idea how am I suppose to go on with this person.

Hi Catieb, I am a designer too. I have trusted people with my ideas and designs before and have been taken advantage of several times, even by friends in the design field. I'm probably better at being harmless as a dove than I am at being shrewd as a snake (Matthew 10:16), as it sounds like you may be too. It's not easy. I no longer volunteer my ideas for designs I am working on or those I may plan to use in the future, especially with those who have proven untrustworthy. I am happy to share knowledge of design principles, or help discuss a project someone is working on. I think God is suggesting that we set healthy boundaries, a balance between excessive self promotion and being too vulnerable, and to continue to pray to Him and listen for His direction. Praying for you and your situation. Just know that God loves you and has plans to prosper you and not to harm you. "Boundaries" by Henry Cloud and John Townsend is a book I recommend.
