Prayer problems

Ok, this is probably in the wrong forums so sorry before hand. I didn't know where to put this.

I have been having problems praying certain things. For example, the sorroful mysteries in the Rosary. It is just too painful to think and remember these memories.

Also, I pray Christ's prayer given to Saint Bridget. This prayers honors Christ's passion and all the wounds which he suffered.

It is extremely hard to concetrate fully because it hurts concentrating on our Lord being hurt.

I have yet to see the passion of the Christ. Mainly because I know I'll be crying non stop through it and probably for a long time afterwards.

Anyone else have this problem? Any advice?

My advice is to perservere in the sense of not giving up on the issue until you find a clear answer........ It is better to take it slow and find real answers than to gloss over the problem and push ahead........maybe find someone to talk to about it like a priest and pray about the problem you are having.............

By the way, i do have similar problems praying about certain situations where i have painful memories......... I am sure you are not alone in being emotionally overwhelmed by certain prayer topics.........
