Hey!

Sooooo . . . I am collapsed on the sofa and getting ready to drag myself to bed after another super busy day. I believe that this has been the busiest week of my life. We all decorated the reception hall today because . . .

:D:D:D I am getting married on SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D:D

Your prayers for Patrick and me would be greatly appreciated on that day. Both of us will have many unsaved friends and family members present, and we have striven to bring God glory in every area and aspect of this wedding. My uncle is marrying us--I am extremely excited about that because he married my parents and I think it is so cool that he is marry us!--and he has such a tender heart for people. He is so excited about the wedding, though he tells me that it's going to be so very difficult not to cry while he watches his brother give his daughter away.

For those of you dads out there (Woody--don't know if you're still around, but I think you might like this):

IT IS POSSIBLE TO SAVE YOUR FIRST KISS FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY!

Granted, it is NOT an easy thing, but Patrick and I began seeing each other in late April of last year (we did the whole courtship thing where he asked my dad and had serious intentions from the start), and we have been engaged almost seven months. If we can just get through tomorrow without kissing (^_^), then it will truly be OUR FIRST KISS. Yes, it will be announced as such. When asked if I wanted that I said, "You'd better! Good grief! If I'm waiting all this time, then people had BETTER know or else it won't be worth it." My parents have always wanted me to save my first kiss (this is my first kiss first kiss) for my wedding day, and this was one way for me to honor them.

Anyway, your prayers will be much appreciated. Perhaps I can post links to facebook pictures after things calm down. :)

See you Saturday. Pam and i will be leaving some time on Friday. Taking the scenic route.

BTW, i did have success in finding a place that deals with real Amish stuff, and not "Chinese Amish". We'll be wrapping it tomorrow...it's a bit big...before we take off for your location.

As it is very late, and i just got home from work, i'll say good night. Have to do a lot of driving tomorrow.

Whenever I get discouraged about today's youth you always give me hope. Congratulations and may the Lord of Heaven and Earth make His face to shine on you and your new husband. May His grace abound toward you and give you peace and comfort in Him. May He draw you both close to His breast and keep you there.

UPDATE:
Erin and Patrick had a wonderful wedding ceremony, just as they had planned it. Although i have some photos of the reception, i'll let Erin and Patrick make the decision as to what, if anything, they chose to post, and where they chose to post it.

It is unfortunate that i was never able to meet Erin Wilcox (she was a little bit busy), but i met this wonderful young couple, Erin and Patrick Fulford.

At the reception, i was seated with some wonderful Presbyterians who were familiar with the region of the country that i live in (Pittsburgh area).

Contrary to popular misconceptions, Reformed Baptists DO dance. i have photo evidence to prove it. ^_^

Thanks for sharing, CDL!!! I imagine she's not gonna be updating her blog anytime soon!
Probably not. When they get back from their honeymoon, they both have to be about the business of getting ready for another semester at college, and setting up a household.

By no means a trivial undertaking.

Wish i was still young enough to have that kind of energy. The drive home from Maryland was enough to ruin my day and sleep patterns. (If God does not judge the Government of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for that abomination called the "Pennsylvania Turnpike", i'll be very surprised).

Well . . . the pictures from the professionals are not back yet, but Morgan is a friend of mine who took pictures. She keeps adding them to this site as she has time to photoshop them. I thought you might like to take a peek!

The maids didn't come to clean our room while we were out baking in the hot Mexican sun for hours . . . they called us a while ago to ask if they could come in. Now we are just waiting for them to finish while we enjoy free internet in the business center. Then comes the ice cream. :)

Ok, that's who the woman taking the pictures was. For a while i thought she was one of the photographers you'd hired.

Did she get as limited by the 'professional' photographers as i?

i know those guys were just doing their job, but i think i might have ruined a couple of their pictures because we'd 'flash' at the same time.

Glad to see you got pictures of the 'token' Presbyterian table in the background. :preach:

Never mind. Mistake. The woman i speak of was on our side of the hall, off to my right. Apparently the person you speak of wasn't a woman. Unless i'm mistaken (again!), the woman i'm thinking of was a relative of Patrick's.

OFF SUBJECT:

When you going to get around to changing your CF name to reflect the new status?
