Prayer Needed

Hi everyone
Im 23 and feel a little bit out of place here, no offense intended, sorry if i did
I just thought maybe there is someone out there that might understand my position and be able to pray for me.
I'm 23 and have been married for a year and a half, and honestly the hardest years of my life, why you would ask?
My wife was sexually abused as a child. It is really hard at times
I won't go into any details, but i thought the more prayer the better, and I think this is a good place to go, I think the prayers of older people are really powerful.
Things are progressing good, there has been definate improvement, but there are times when it is really hard
Thankyou so much if you can keep Me and my wife in prayer

God I humbly ask that You guide these people's lives. Place Your finger on their hearts, and let them grow together in love as those in the faith grow in love with You.

Sorry to poke my head in here, but I also enjoy the wisdom of those who are older than I.

I have posed the question to couples who've been married for 5, 10, 20, and 40 years. When does marriage get easier. Everybody differs in opinion. Those with less experience usually say the first year is the hardest. Those with more experience say the first 2 years are the hardest (and so on). I think that if you put God as the cornerstone in your marriage that He will show you how to grow as one and not apart. I have been married for four years and with my husband for six. I think the hardest were the first five. We have just recently put God into our marriage. He has helped considerably.

Has your wife talked about being abused with someone who can help her deal with it? If not, perhaps she should. I know from personal experience that being sexually abused as a child affects the rest of your life in so many negative ways. It needs to be dealt with. In doing so she can save not only herself from many of the negative effects but also those around her because it truly does affect every aspect of one's life.

You might also want to visit the Marriage Ministry forum and ask for some advice from the wonderful married folks there. They might be able to offer you some support and suggestions on how to help your wife and your marrige.
