  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone- i'm a new person to the whole concept of public prayer, and i must admit that i have found it very strange, and at times uncomfortable. I friend has agreed to come with me to morning prayer at the university i attend. It as the first both of us will have gone. I don't expect him to pray at all, but i just pray that he will find something at this prayer meetings. He has yet to find Jesus- he is so close but has not truly met Him. I just pray that he doesn't feel awkward there- not that he has to pray, but just that he feels the presence of Jesus in the room. As i say, am i new to this whole concept of public prayer, and have never posted a similar message on a message board, but i think God is telling me that i can't do this alone- i've tried and he still is wondering. To me this one guy represents so much, and if i can just bring one person to Jesus then i feel i will just have the strength to bring many more.
Please can you pray for both my friend and me- that is my prayer. Amen

Lord, I lift up tomuea and friend in prayer. Calm tomuea's heart. Shower this person with Your peace. I also lift up this friend in prayer and "CLAIM" this person as Your child. Help this person to come to Jesus. Open the windows of this person's heart. Lord, let Your Holy Spirit work both within each of them. Bless them both in many ways. Lord, I thank You for answered prayers in advance. In the name of Jesus "AMEN".
