Prayer for strength

Please pray for me. I'm having yet another "one of those days." My husband and I both have the flu. We have four boys, ages 19, 9, and 4 yr old twins, and Mike (husband) fell in the tub this morning and fractured his hard head.

It's been a looooong day. I'm so geared up I can't sleep despite being exhausted.

What was it Mother Teresa said? Oh Yea.

"I trust God not to give me anything I can't handle. Sometimes, though, I wish He didn't trust me quite so much."

Mike is totally disabled. So it's not been easy - he already has difficulty walking and taking care of himself. A concussion was not what I requested for today, Lord!!!

Of course, His peace has been pretty awesome today too.

Well, stormdancer, if you can have this good an attitude about it, you're doing pretty alright!


olive oil ... the oil of the Lord's people ... it's for annointing ... I periodically, when things just get a bit much ... annoint the door posts and windows with a drop of the oil and expel all spirits not of the Lord and forbid any to enter in ... in Jesus name ... if you'd like I can look up the scriptures and get back to you on them ...

you know here on the east side of the state sweetgrass and sge grow wild ... I pick it and bring it back here for my friends who use it ... basically the American Native here equivalent ... I suppose that could depend on the tribe? anyway ... same Spirit same Lord

if you go back to the olive oil ... it's logical if you think about it ... so much about olives in scripture ...

Jesus,
Thank you for our dear sister Stormdance. We thank you for your promises that never faulter, and we stand on those promises and we stand together in agreement over our sister and her family.
We ask Jesus that you give her patience with her children while she is sick, and we ask for healing in her and her familys body Jesus, bring them comfort and restore them back to their normal selves. We ask that you heal this fractured head and anoint them in your spirit.
Jesus as everything seems to crumble under them and nothing is going right, just bring a smile to their face because you are in control of all things and your will be done in this situation. Thank you Jesus that NOTHING is too difficult for you. Amen

Shine, I'm doing better today. I'm tired and weak, but it's a better type of "lousy" than yesterday.

Mike's head is doing good. He looks like he went a few rounds with Michael the archangel (and lost, of course). Black eye, swollen mouth, left nostril swollen shut. But he doesn't show any signs of major damage. I always said he was hard-headed.

I think he broke the tub, though!!!
