My husband and I just signed papers for our new apartment home. It's our first home together. Due to where we work and where our families are we ended up choosing to live in a more expensive area. We do have some positive things on our horizon - my husband has been promised a raise and medical benefits after a period of months working consistently with his company and I could have opportunities with my company and in my area of expertise as well in the next year. The apartment rent is about half our income though and so our budget will be really tight for this year (although, we do praise God that we were able to find an apartment at all with our current income and that it is such a nice one at that). I would just request that you keep us in prayer that God will provide for our needs and we will be be content in every situation that may arise. I would also request prayer for wisdom for us as we keep an eye out for opportunities to improve our career paths and our finances. And for patience and kindness toward one another even in stressful situations. Thank you.
PS - any encouragement would be much appreciated, if you maybe can relate. lol. We get some encouragement in this from our family, but we both come from fairly low income situations in our families of origin and so we also get a lot of pressure from them too.
