My neighbor is in many critical conditions. He had throat cancer, can hardly walk, and has to carry around an oxygen tank. He had surgery to get rid of the cancer and now he has a big hole in his throat and has to breathe, eat, and cover it when he talks. Most people think that the reason he had the cancer is because he smoked to much.....but it's not. He doesn't smoke....it was just in him. (I guess) Some days he has the energy to walk around outside in his yard and other days he doesn't even have the energy to get out of bed. He has to carry the oxygen tank with him every where he goes....so he can breathe. Please pray for him. Just for him to get his strength back, that the cancer won't come back. "God can do anything." CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
