Prayer for a Second Child

I was blessed with my first son, through natural fertility at 41 years of age. I am now 44 and have suffered two miscarriages since the birth of my son. I would like to have one more child to complete our family. I am resting patiently in the Lord. I am fasting for better health and to show the utmost appreciation for my husband and son. Even though the odds are not in my favor, I still have faith in the Lord to grant us one more child to lead on a righteous path.

Thank you! When I had my son at 41, I had an extremely easy pregnancy with a natural childbirth overseen by Christian midwives. In my state, doctors schedule an inordinately large amount of Cesarians for mothers of any age, so I have much more faith in Christian midwives. The risks for older mothers are generally associated with the viability of the fetus (hence the miscarriages), or possibility of birth defect (due to older eggs) rather than difficulty in the carrying and delivering of a healthy child. If the fetus is not viable, there is nothing that a doctor can do. It is up to God's will to choose to plant a viable fetus in my womb. May He bless me again as he once did. Amen!
