Please don't misunderstand me, but these do not sound like the actions of someone who has received the Spirit of God. Self harm has demonic origins, and is precisely the type of thing that the blood of Christ would cleanse someone of if in fact they had been converted. Perhaps you are confusing seeker with believer?I need prayer for a new believer who self harms and is feeling very down he wants to have a fire for God but struggles deeply please pray for him for me
he is a struggling believer yes even if he was a seeker only that just means he needs prayer all the more. not all chains are instantly removed as paul himself said when he asked for the thorn in his side to be removedPlease don't misunderstand me, but these do not sound like the actions of someone who has received the Spirit of God. If you don't mind, a first name would be helpful. And thank you for the clarification as to when these attacks began. I would still put him in the seeker category, but whatever the case, I will pray for him.he is a struggling believer yes even if he was a seeker only that just means he needs prayer all the more. not all chains are instantly removed as paul himself said when he asked for the thorn in his side to be removed
Gods grace is sufficent and this person has only come to Christ just recently this is a vunerable state without guidence and satan would love to his claws back into his life which is why I think he struggles so much with demonic attacks these attacks didn't happen until he came to Christ
Thank you Agra. Is this someone you met in a thread here? I ask because, I've noticed many people come here looking for attention more than help. Sometimes they even post multiple threads repeating the same things, and often they don't stick around very long, or they make it obvious that help, or Christ, is not really what they are seeking. Be wise brother, that's all I'm saying.@JonasDaniels I have not yet learned his actual name but his user name is enril which may be an actual name and yeah he may be a seeker or he may be a believer either way thank you for praying many blessings to you all
I disagree with this, and these statements strike me as a very nasty thing to say. Being a believer in Christ does not magically dismiss mental illness or suicidal ideation or self-harming. The fallen sin nature of mankind does enough damage without the demonic powers needing to intervene. The sanctification process does not happen overnight. Thus, my prayer is as follows:Please don't misunderstand me, but these do not sound like the actions of someone who has received the Spirit of God. Self harm has demonic origins, and is precisely the type of thing that the blood of Christ would cleanse someone of if in fact they had been converted.
Its interesting to me that you chose not to quote my entire response to Agra before making your comment. Removing the final line of my post to help bolster your position. Maybe you should have read our entire conversation before offering your reactionary response. The OP did not take exception to my comment, and there is no reason that they should have, it was biblically accurate, and followed up with a question, which you chose to omit. What you call "nasty", I call wisdom, and speaking the truth in love. Other than your public prayer, have you actually prayed for this person, or Agra?I disagree with this, and these statements strike me as a very nasty thing to say. Dear Lord, I pray for relief for the young child whom You have called to yourself. Help him to understand Your truth that his body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and is not to be harmed, and help him to find something else to do when the urge to self-harm comes. Indeed, You have written that You will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we are able, so be with this young believer to allow him to stand for his faith and give him the support and space he needs to get his armor together and regroup. In Christ’s Name, Amen
What Scripture do you have to declare all people who self-harm demon possessed? Its interesting to me that you chose not to quote my entire response to Agra before making your comment. If you disagreed with what I said, you could have asked for clarification, we could have discussed the matter. But that's not how things work here in this christian forum is it?
Why would anyone assume the best about their fellow brother or sister when you can just be rude and judgmental instead? No reason apparently. I will reread your comment and take it into consideration, which is much more than you did for me. Thanks for your input.
What quote do you have from me, that states "all people who self harm are demon possessed"?What Scripture do you have to declare all people who self-harm demon possessed?
@Pop D. ,Heavenly Father, Holy is Your Name, we pray You will strengthen this new believer and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, in the Name of Jesus. Amen and Amen.
