  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi all,

I wanted to stop in and mention how crucial it is to pray for other people...even the ones you admire for being strong. I think the ones we see as strong are the ones Satan is going after the hardest right now.

Leo Schreven's death came as quite a shock to me. The man changed my life. His death has changed my life as well. I never thought to pray for him personally, because I always saw him as one of the strongest people I know, but I did pray for his ministry several times.

I can't even begin to imagine how relentlessly the accuser was going after him.

May he rest in peace.

I hope you all have been well.

Many blessings to all,
~Lainie

So very true. I had actually thought about this a few weeks ago. I felt the Lord had put it on my heart to pray for my pastor. He is a lay pastor and devotes so much of his time to the church. The Holy Spirit just implressed upon me to pray for him and his family and to even give him a call to see how he was doing. So many times we forget that they are also in need of someone to talk too. We think of other members and call or visit them but rarely our pastors. Think of the burden that they have ministering to the congregation. He was very appreciative of the call as he had been dealing with his youngest son and a medical problem. God is so good because his problem was one that my family had some experience with. I was able to give him some advice and encouragement.

Elijah I never heard of the man and I am so sorry for his family. I know that they must be agonizing and we don't know if they are in shock. It saddens me dearly because none of know where he will reside when YAHSHUA comes. It is sad that anyone will point a finger at any one who is dead. If they felt he was wrong they should have wrote him. I would if I think you have done me wrong. I have written to many ministers that I went to school with or worked with as a former Bible Worker. I am praying and I praying for his family. Please pray for me as I do for you!

Happy Sabbath and blessings with love,
