My friend David, his friend has recently called saying "goodbye" and that "times were fast and fun." David asks, "Where you going?" Josh, his friend on the other line of the phone, says, "You'll know soon enough."

Josh has been in depression for over two months. Pray for his life, that he may turn his face to the Lord's grace and love, to live life despite the situation of feeling depressed. To have faith, and to start a relationship with Jesus. As I speak, my friends search for him.

Please, pray for his life.

call the cops, or have him committed, or at least call his parents. Trust me, if you don't and anything happens, you'll feel really bad. My friend killed himself and I actually had done everything I could, but I still find myself wondering if I went far enough.

are you sure it is only suicide he's thinking about, not something worse?

Lord Jesus, Cleanse , renew and receive me unto Your Throne of Grace within. Accept my petition for this one, as I pray You grant me receptivity to Your Spirit's Voice upon my heart, mind and spirit, for Your Glory.

Please hold Josh deep in Your heart as he strains to find the Light and the Life that You command. Grant him the protection of Your Mightiest Angels to shield him 'round about with Your power to enfold Him in Your embrace and quiet the voices of death and destruction that call to him. Replace those voices with Your Divine Peace, that he may know the air to stand still and grow temperate and full, for His senses to be sated, in Your Presence. Cause him pause to hear Your Gentle Voice as it tells him of Your Love for him and Your Acceptance of all that he is. Remind him of the beauty in him that You have created and underscore the uniqueness and value of his life and his experience. Please, Jesus, usher in some available child of God to comfort and hear his cry and shoulder his grief and hold his hand and lead him to the safety of Your Love manifest in Your healing poured out for him. Break the stare of despair and offer him the shy peek at hope and a beacon of Your Light in whatever form speaks to Josh, that he may be coaxed to follow You to the path that You have anointed for his unique and special life, Jesus.

Be pleased in our petitions and receive the Glory and the Praise that delights Your Spirit, for Your Glory. Amen

This boy needs all the love, prayer and support you can give him! Be there for him! Be an extension of God's love for him!

I too suffer from clinical depression. I attempted suicide not long ago. Was almost dead when my neighbors found me. Suffice it to say, I'm still here. But still very depressed and every day is a struggle. Without the love, prayer, and support of family and friends I would not be here. So I speak from experience.

Father, God, please show this young man that you love him. He needs to know he is loved. In the name of your son Jesus Christ - Amen
