  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

URGENT PRAYER UPDATE
INTERNATIONAL MISSION BOARD
September 13, 2002

CARIBBEAN BASIN.

Missionaries Charlotte and Mickey Searcy, for whom you have been praying, returned to the Mayo Clinic on Sept. 7 for a reassessment of Charlotte's medical status. Currently, Charlotte is very weak and has to rest most of the day, and her pain continues. Her return to Mayo is for the physicians to search for answers to what she is experiencing day after day.

This continues to be a very difficult time for Charlotte, with very little improvement from the symptoms she has experienced since her surgeries in April 2002. Charlotte and Mickey express their deep gratitude for the many prayers that continue to be offered to the Lord on their behalf.

Thank you so much for being on call and instantly responsive to
this need and all urgent prayer requests.

NOTE: Future reports on Charlotte's condition may be found at:
http://www.imb.org/compassionnet/default.asp (under the category
of "Countries," select "Caribbean Basin")
