I want to take a moment today and give God praise. Praise for giving me grace each day to endure life. Praise for working on me and molding me to be more Christlike. For today is an unpleasant anniversary for me. I was at a point in my life that I felt God was blessing me, and providing for me. However, I was ignoring God, and putting myself above God. One year ago today, it became known me that God had taken away from me. This instance compounded with other things in my life, left me broken. Sometimes in order for God to fix us, he needs to break us down, and cause us to fully rely upon him. Then he will put us back together piece by piece, and teach us priceless lesson during the process. This process is often so very painful, but the lesson learned will last a lifetime. I praise God that I am a better person and Christian today than I was one year ago. I praise God for his undying love and mercy, and for holding me up when I could not stand on my own.
My prayer is that I never forget what I have learned. That I always keep God first in my life, and continually strive to trust him with the finite details of my life more each day. Also that I never fail to praise and give him thanks for the blessings in my life.
