[Allen of the Cross]

Hello everyone. I want to share with you all some praise poetry I've written for Jesus Christ. I hope you enjoy!

Wondrous Lord, O beauty pure and magnificent,
Glorious beyond comprehension.
Righteous heart of love and kindness,
Fiery burning embers of passion

Warm the cold hearts of Your church,
Love that's willing to give itself entirely
Possessed by You in Your beautiful heart.
Lord Jesus Christ, the Name so precious,

Love of my life, Jesus Christ the Righteous;
Enthroned in majesty, glory beyond reckoning,
Kindness and grace beyond all imaginings.
O Excellent Lord, precious delight,

More so lovely than the world's collection of gold,
Your mind more pure and delightful so
Than an infinite ocean of red ruby crystal,
More clear so than the purest of glass.

How Your ways are above all ways;
No impurity has left its prints in Your expansive mind.
Loving kindness has never departed
From the plans You plan for saved mankind.

Honorable Lord, full of beauty, majesty,
Splendor, my Lord, You're draped in, my Lord.
Compassionate, tender, softhearted God,
Jesus Christ my love, the One whom I adore.

The Lord my God

Radiant rays of Your love, Your glory
Refract, reflect throughout the heavens,
Righteous, pious Lord my God,
Royal, regal, majestic pure Lord.

Brilliant beauty contained within Your body,
Bright glorious light from Your being shines forth,
Boldly, boastfully, enlightening my eyes,
Beautiful, gorgeous Lord my God.

Wholly holy, different and set apart,
Wise, inspired, is Your wondrous heart.
Wonderful and wholesome, the Lord my God,
Who loved me to the point of death on a cross.

Amazing are You, awe-inspiring Lord,
Awesome power, commanding time and space,
Altogether lovely, more so than any other,
Always lovely are You, the Lord my God.

High and exalted, lifted up,
On into glory, from where You came,
Magnificent Word of God,

Made in likeness of man!
High up into honor,
Immanuel reigns!

High and exalted, lifted up
On the cross for the sins of the world!
Wrath due for me

Was filled into Your cup!
Burdens now are lifted,
Now with You I will forever sup.

Higher and higher,
Onto into glory, from where You came,
Son of God my love!

You carried the weight
Of all my sins,
My transgressions blotted out

Through Your blood.
Now You are lifted
Into the throne!

High and exalted, lifted up,
On into glory, from where You came!
Word of God made flesh,

Endless praises to Your name!
Ascribing endless glory
To the One without blame.

Higher and higher,
Higher than the heavens,
Higher and higher,

The Son of God my Lord!

Jesus Christ, the Lord my God,
Resplendent majesty dwells
Fully within Your glorious abode!

Exalted as king, Your Name
Exalted above every
Name that is named under the high heavens!

Who has founded the world with
Your almighty Word, the Word
Of God: which upon utterance, mountains

Tremble, are lifted, and cast,
Hurled with great force into the
Sea! Great peals of lightning, booms of thunder

Emanate forth from strong voice!
O Tongue of Christ, that mighty
Sword, Word of the Lord from ancient times past!

Who, with preeminence, reigns
As the High King over all,
Just and mighty; strong, powerful Jesus!

With great authority, You
Have sat down in the highest
Throne, far above all principality

And power that is, for You
Have made all things by Yourself,
All things were created by You, for You!

Praise to the Lord Jesus Christ!
Praise to our God Jesus Christ!
Praise to Jesus Christ, the Almighty God!

How I look forward to that
Marriage supper, how sweet will be the taste,
With Christ, my delight, You who died for me!
Holy communion, Christ and church, in love;
The two becoming one, holy union!
Our God become flesh, purchased us with blood,
By Your own stripes, through Your death on the cross,
Set apart for Yourself a loving church -

Who will love You forever, worship You,
Love You always, faithful and true, between
Christ and Church, love forever, love settled:
Settled before the world began, designed,
Created by You, vessels fit for love,
Sanctified, washed in Word's cleansing water,
Your bride, formed from dust, stares her Creator -

O Christ, with eyes of fire, eyes captured by
Your Church, her stare ravishes Divine heart,
Her warm affection melts Your loving heart:
From her You wish to never part, for You
Love Her with Your whole heart, O Jesus Christ:
Sacrificing Your own body, upon
Torturous cross, Your love not limited -

For by Your holy blood You gave us life,
Lovingly Purchased an inheritance,
You ascended to Your throne, and gave us
Good gifts of wondrous splendor, great glory,
By Your holy blood we will reign the earth:
We are Yours, and You are our God, and we
Will share loving communion forever.

God: Hallowed Be Your Name
Glorious God, Grand and Great,
Obviously honored, Jesus:
Dear Jesus Christ, my delight,

How holy, honorable,
Amazing, awe-inspiring,
Lovely Lord, Loving Lord,
Luminous love, lowly Lord,
Omnipotent, omniscient,
Wondrous, wise, wonderful Word,
Elegant, extravagant,
Doing deified deeds, dear,

Because You are holy, Christ,
Even so, You are kind, Christ,

Your love is great, O Gracious,
Omnipotent Lord Jesus!
Understanding unmatched, Christ
Reigns supreme over all things!

Now You have been exalted,
Above all names is Your name,
Magnificent Lord Jesus!
Exalted high and mighty!
