Posts going to the wrong thread?

I was reading this bug report, and the third post looks like it should be somewhere completely different.

looks like he just copied the format of a post and inserted it in this that thread. the apparent normal formating is writen into the post.

I think religion in the U.S. will in about 20 years, have regressed to becoming a great numbers of private clubs meeting once a week. I do not see them becoming 'cults' at all.

remember that this is a Bug Report system... it is able to filter what you try to copy/paste... this one was used wrongly, but sometimes it is useful when you want to report a wrong display or something...

In this thread, got resurrected from 2001 - the 5th post (made today) is replying to a completely different thread.

Hmm... interesting. That one appears to be a legit post, as in, no fake formatting in there, different member and such. The thread number (t=2) made me suspect that it was part of the address getting snipped off, but there doesn't seem to be any straight forward way of snipping the address to make that happen.

post 3 in that one is still on the thread topic. It is possible to intentionally quote from another thread.

I'm not just basing it off the quote - his reply simply does not seem to me to have anything to do with the topic.

I'm guessing this is at the fault of the user.

If you guys have any more information (or if this is still an issue), please let me know.
