All depends on what you post, where you post it, and how you respond to those who challenge your ideas.

...and the reading comprehension of the person responding. It's funny how many times I've seen someone react negatively toward someone who's honestly trying to agree with them.

Most open forums that I've visited seem to trend that way. The nastiest people seem to treat it as a challenge of dominance, and the nice friendly people just leave. The only exception has been in places where the moderators double-down aggressively and signing up to participate is more than just a quick and automatic electronic form, but then the membership tends to be small (but friendly), and no one has much to talk about.

Show us some objective evidence of that from a reputable source. And of course any source you come up with I will scoff at and call unreliable or propagandist or something else even less flattering.

I count on that to support my conclusions. I try to base my wacky ideas on scripture
at all times and I need more experienced Christians to explain why my conclusions are
wrong.

For example, not one person has countered my claim that gender differentiation
is not allowed. Because if I am correct, then there are a lot of churches in the wrong.

Not only that, but scripture says that many churches (people) are operating wrong.
And all this time, people have said that Jesus is the narrow gate, and non-Christian
religions are wrong.....but scripture says that the golden rule is the narrow gate.
And judging your neighbor by appearances is the way to hell.

In everything, then, do to others as you would have them do to you.
For this is the essence of the Law and the prophets. Enter through the narrow gate.
For wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

You need a thick skin, the ability to debate the issues without making it personal, and to be totally assured and confident about the rightness of your own beliefs and views.

This is the forum where paradigms are rocked. It never ends well. Its like having a political discussion between a leftist, a rightist and a non-participator.
Rock someones paradigm and you essentially do two things: 1. you are saying that they are incorrect and that you are correct and they would be smart to follow you.
And 2. this paradigm that you hold to that keeps you peaceful is all wrong and that you just might be believing a false religious way.

Be it so, it is still informative and exciting to discuss these things, but in a real way it is a hopeless cause. There will always be those who agree and disagree. Add to that the fact that practically nobody is willing to bend on what they believe and it turns into a drama.
We should try and be nicer to each other when debating things that there is NO WAY to prove either way.

Fair debate can become contentious at times. That's what makes this forum interesting. If one can't stand the heat, don't cook in the kitchen!
