I have a great recipe for pork chops, but I don't cook vegetarian meals.

I started early today and I have a great pot of soup that has been simmering all day. Pretty soon, I will put the rolls in and we will be ready to eat.

I like to do things quick and easy. So my standard meals are things like this:

Can of beans (rinse to lower salt, hopefully)
bag of frozen veggies
maybe some pepper or garlic or salsa or something

Heat in microwave.. (veggies first, they need to dethaw).

bon appetite!

Another standard meal is this:
frozen waffles (I get the ones that say they are healthy, with flax seed/organic/etc).
peanut butter (I also get he healthy stuff here with less sugar, I currently have one that includes flax oil)
apple sauce

I use a toaster for the waffles.

Another standard meal is a can of veggie (often bean) soup. These are actually quite good in the organic/health sections.

Cold cereal is often good also. I use soy milk and get total or some other one that is healthy (well, sometimes I get honey bunches of oats or frosted miniwheats, but that is as unhealthy as I go).

Finally, there is the tofu. You can get your frozen veggies (stirfry mix) and tryr to to a stirfry on the stove with it. But I generally don't bother and do the same sort of thing as I do with the veggies and beans (microwave).
1 bag of frozen veggies (stirfry)
1 container of tofu (if anything is going to be done on the stove, do this! use peanut oil if done on the stove)
a bit of soy sauce

Last time I checked my doctor (Non-SDA) who is desperately trying to unclog my arteries and keep me alive from all the McDonalds I ate in my youth, somehow didnt list marinated pork chops as a healthy 'fatty' food......;)

last night's soup would probably not pass muster here as "healthful" but it sure was tasty.

pork is much leaner and healthier than it once was due to improvements in how the pigs are raised in preparation for market.

Just healthy, like a diet or foods that your doctor would recomend for good health.
LOL--careful Red, the food most main line doctors recommend will kill you!! They know very little about true health or the food that attains it.

I don't care if you find it offensive or not. The man was guilty as sin and the jury ruled that way. Case closed. He is going to get what he deserves:

peterson-scott-verdict-inside-121304.jpg

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — A jury announced Monday it has reached a verdict in the penalty phase of Scott Peterson's murder trial. The panel is expected to deliver the verdict at 1:30 p.m. PT at the San Mateo County Courthouse. Peterson, 31, faces either the death penalty or life in prison without parole for the murders of his wife and unborn son. The six men and six women reached their verdict after deliberating for about 12 hours over three days. They have been sequestered in a hotel during their deliberations, but were not allowed to deliberate over the weekend. Jurors requested Monday morning that graphic photos of the victims' decomposed remains be brought into the deliberations room. Judge Alfred Delucchi announced that the photos and several items were sent into the jury room "for their perusal." The judge said the panelists also requested Laci's medical records, which include a sonogram of the boy the couple planned to name Conner and a copy of one of the last photos taken of the mother-to-be. That picture shows the 27-year-old seated and smiling at a holiday party 10 days before her Dec. 24, 2002, disappearance. The images the panel asked for tracked visuals that prosecutor Dave Harris used during his summation. He began and ended the argument with the photo of Laci Peterson at the holiday party and moved jurors to tears when he showed the gory images of the remains. "Leaving his wife's body to rot in the bottom of the ocean. Leaving his son's body to be found as trash in debris," he told them. "That is not something that should be rewarded by sparing his life." Delucchi made the announcement after an hour-long closed-door meeting with Peterson, defense lawyers and prosecutors. The jury found the fertilizer salesman guilty of one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder in the December 2002 deaths of Laci Peterson and her fetus. Jurors returned the guilty verdict on Nov. 12, after about five months of testimony.

Furthermore, this OUR area, and you don't come in here dictating to us what to do and impose your censorship ways upon us. If you don't like it, tough, there's the door.

Of course, if you are going to wail and moan about it and predictably report it, I will replace it with something else, simply because I am not in the mood nor do I have the time right now for the war I am sure you are prepared to wage if I don't.

That is so funny, as I don't cook anything but vegetarian meals....I used to sit and watch as my grandmother would prepare meals, and as we come from the islands she cooked a lot of fish and chicken, but mostly she prepared fruits, grains, vegetables, etc.. for our meals.

So thats what we ate, until one day I discovered 'fast food'........the effects of which I am paying for today, every last morsel......
