  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Possibly important Pro-Life development in Canada.

A federal election is looming here in Canada. I feel that I've been given a strategy over the past few days where the relatively small Christian Heritage Party might be able to use its influence to achieve a significant goal toward protecting the unborn.

Please visit this thread and consider joining this Christian Heritage Party message board. Your prayers will sure be appreciated also.

Minister of Defense MP Peter Mackay
http://www.petermackay.ca/

Dear Mr. Mackay:

Congratulations on achieving federal environmental
approval for the Keltic Natural Gas Project. I own
land on Lochiel Lake so your efforts on behalf of
all of us in relation to the Goldboro Project will probably
help to significantly increase the value of that property.

I plan to campaign against you in the upcoming federal
election but I am running primarily because of your
stand on two or three specific issues. Overall I
would have to say that you provide us residents of
Central Nova with exceptionally good representation
both here and in Ottawa.

At the 2006 debate you stated that you
were pro-choice on the issue of abortion. Although
I do understand why you would come to that conclusion
considering how convincing a case has been presented
by the pro-choice lobby, still, I am personally strongly
opposed to Canada's overly liberal abortion laws.

Please take a look at and carefully consider the implications
of the proposal that I have just submitted on the
Christian Heritage Party message board forum. If
Prime Minister Harper will pledge to conduct a nationwide
poll on the issue of protecting the unborn, and if he will
commit himself to do his best to implement the will of
the people on this issue, then I will publically announce
to my supporters that on election day I will be casting my
own ballot for Mr. Peter Mackay.

My name, (if I manage to get through the nomination
process) will stay on the ballot but I will do my level best
to contact my supporters and inform them of my
decision to vote for you if you manage to convince
Prime Minister Harper to take this sort of action
regarding abortion.

If you accomplish all this previous to the
time when the election is called, I will not run for office
in the area of Central Nova in 2008. Actually, I'd
assist your campaign workers in just about any way
that they would suggest.

I will also do my best to convince Christian Heritage
Party candidates across Canada to take a similar
action.

"A time of war, and a time of peace." (Ecclesiastes 3:8)

I have not yet chosen to represent any specific political
party but I am seriously researching that option.

Thank you for considering these ideas.

Kind regards.

Paul Arthur, Insight telecast suggestion for PRO-LIFE cause.

Today, I phoned the Insight program on Miracle Channel and spoke with Mr. Paul Arthur about a possible method to inspire/wrangle/manouever Prime Minister Stephen Harper into making one statement regarding protecting the life of the unborn. I mentioned your political party and I even referred to this message board.

My suggestion is that we pro-lifers submit a proposal to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, that if he gives us one clear public statement regarding protecting the lives of the unborn.... then my advice is that the Christian Heritage Party declare a temporary truce with the federal Conservative Party....and CHP candidates declare their support for any Conservative Party candidate, (or Liberal Party or NDP or Green Party candidate for that matter), who is in agreement with/pledged their support for this one proposal.

Five percentage points one way or another can mean the difference of whether or not one party suffers a crushing defeat in the election or has a minority government, or a clear majority mandate in Ottawa.

Although I was not able to get into the specifics while on the phone with Mr. Arthur I believe that if PM Harper will guarantee that he will do his best to conduct a nation wide poll regarding the question of how, when, and under what conditions abortions could be allowed, and that he will try his best to implement the results of that poll, then in my opinion the Christian Heritage Party should consider this statement to be a clear win, and we declare our support for the Prime Minister if he gives us this proposal.

Rather than simply risking becoming like a Ross Perot who essentially ended up giving the White House over to the Clinton administration, we should be very careful and seriously consider a tactical retreat in the event that this retreat could achieve the result that we have been hoping and praying for.

You can see an e-mail that I wrote to my MP Mr. Peter Mackay here:

Here is the message regarding abortion that I sent to MP Peter Mackay last September.

You will find some interesting ideas regarding hastening the coming of Jesus/Yahushua to this earth in this thread:

MP Peter Mackay
http://www.petermackay.ca/

Dear Mr. Minister Mackay:

When I heard you speak at the 2006 federal debate held
at Pictou Campus of NSCC I was certainly impressed.
I was in basic agreement with perhaps seventy percent of
the statements that you made.

Honorable Minister, one important position on which I vehemently disagree with you Sir is that you stated that
you were pro-Choice on the issue of abortion.

I plan to run against you as an independent candidate in
the upcoming federal election. Winning would of course
be the best possible outcome but a close second would
be to see you Mr. Mackay reconsider all the new
information available and adopt a strong pro-Life stance.

I suspect that you may have decided to be pro-Choice based
on thoroughly misleading but impressive statistics that
abortion advocates casually spout.

"How many women died from illegal abortions? The head of one of the major pro-abortion organizations in the U.S. said: "In 1972 there were 1,000,000 illegal abortions and 5,000 to 10,000 women died from them." True? Or False?" (abortionfacts.com)

The example of what has happened in Poland between
the years 1990 to 1994 is of and by itself sufficient reason
to abandon your pro-Choice stance!

http://www.abortionfacts.com/online_books/love_them_both/why_cant_we_love_them_both_27.asp

"I’d still worry that if you forbid abortion, it will just go back to back-alley butchery and lots of mothers dying."

"We’ve had an example of an entire nation in recent years. It was Poland. Under Communist rule in the ’80s, there were consistently over 100,000 abortions registered each year as compared to about 600,000 births. With the establishment of some self-government in 1990, with both the Church and doctors discouraging abortion, the numbers fell to 59,400.

Let’s list the 1990 figures and then look ahead to 1994, the second year after abortion was forbidden except for danger to the life or health of the mother, rape and fetal handicap.

1990
Total abortions 59,417
Women’s deaths connected with pregnancy 90
Miscarriages 59,454
Cases of infanticide 31
Births 546,000

1994
Total abortions 782
Women’s deaths connected with pregnancy 57
Miscarriages 49,970
Cases of infanticide 17
Births 482,000

"During this time the number of registered abortions declined to 176th of what it had been, and there was not a single death due to illegal abortion. All of these figures are exactly opposite of what International Planned Parenthood people in Poland predicted when the restrictive law was passed."
At this site if you will click on link 14 - "Fetal Pain" you will
certain see another good reason to become an anti-abortion
candidate. Powerful evidence suggests that unborn babies
experience pain AT ONLY EIGHT WEEKS!

Thank you for your consideration of this matter and I look
forward to the honor of discussing this question further
with you at the debate.

Kind regards.
