possibly carrying two babies....

So I went to the dr. today to have a vag ultrasound so dr. can confirm due date, and to make a long story short i got to see the heart beat of my 8 week old baby, but there was another spot in there and the doctor wasn't sure what it was. He said it's a possible pregnancy or a fibroid lol.

He then told me a story how he's had one other person with something similar and after a repeated ultrasound discovered it was another baby 1 1/2 weeks younger then the first... and he ended up delivering two babies, both had different dads.

He thinks this might be what's going on with me (not the two different dad's part) and has me scheduled for another ultrasound.

I've heard of this as well - not very normal; but it can happen.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry about the 2 different dads....

I have heard this happening on a soap opera, and I even joked with my husband about this happening to us. I had a dream one night it happened, and told him about it. That is just crazy, good luck.

I have also heard of this. A women had two babies in there a few weeks a part. You'll have to keep us posted, I'd like to know.

I had my second ultrasound and there was no twins present. But now they said that my blood work was abnormal and showed increased risk for neural tube defect and I have to have my ultrasound next week to see what they can detect.

did you take lots of folic acid early on?
