Over the last few weeks over been feeling that I've be failing totally as a mom. I've been feeling that I can't control my 3 1/2yo and that no matter what I try in order to discipline him, nothing works.
Well last week was the school holidays and our church always does a holiday club for the 6-12yos during the February holidays. I helped out and due to circumstances had to take my 16month old with me (I was able to leave DS with parents/in-laws).
At the club 3 separate people on 3 different occasions just said to me (we weren't talking about my children) how lovely and well behaved my children are and how lovely I am with them and how being a mom is something that I'm really good at (they also mentioned I should have more as I'm a natural!! But that's another story).
Now I don't think I'm a natural mom or anything but it was such a boost for so many people so say what they did, just, when I was needing the reassurance. God is great
and we should never forget that sometimes, someone may just need that positive comment actually said to them rather than just thinking about it.
