The local grocery has great pork chops for .99 a pound this week. I picked up a big package (they only had big!) with a dozen really nice thick chops. Wanting something that will cook most of the day, I found this recipe.

Easy Pork Chops for the Slow Cooker

Does anyone have a favorite similar recipe for chops in the slow cooker? I've never cooked them this way and want something as simple as possible. :)

Love the chops. We had some tonight. The wife powders them with flour, fries the chops until nice and brown, and then finishes them in a slow over so as to not overcook the outside. Fantastic. My favorite. I do like the slow cooker method. I drop them in the slow cooker with some good old cream of mushroom soup, some onions, and garlic salt. The are good with either mashed potatoes or rice. Add a side of buttered corn and you got a meal.
Thanks for sharing.
Yum.

Both of those ways sound great! Do you like the chops better browned first or just dropped in as they are?

I like the slow cooker method because it cooks while I do other things. I recently got an instant pot but am not too proficient with that yet. ;)

My husband loves pork chops. I might try this. I usually do a pork roast with sauerkraut in the crock pot.
We like pork chops so when they're on sale I stock up. They're easy to use in a lot of ways, and they do go great with sauerkraut.

I'm planning to make your beef stroganoff recipe next weekend. Wonder if I could cut the pork chop meat from the bones and use it in place of the beef?

I don’t know. The sauce seems more compatible with beef. It may not taste right with pork. I made it and it was a big hit with everyone. The only thing I’d change is adding more egg noodles. I served it with sour cream potatoes and asparagus.

I like them both ways. The fried seem tastier, but slow cooked get nice and tender.

I found one the other day. I haven't tried it but plan to make them tomorrow.
These look really good. I don't keep whipping cream on hand but would like to try the recipe sometime.

They do. She's been around a long time. I stumbled on the site and began looking around. If you try them look us know how you liked them.
