Francis met with a group of self-professed 'LGBT,' 'transgender,' and intersex people at the Vatican today, who urged him to approve 'sex-change' surgeries.

VATICAN CITY (LifeSiteNews) — Pope Francis met privately with a group of “transgender, intersex, and ally Catholics” today, in an event organized by dissident LGBT group New Ways Ministry, whose longstanding official censure by the Vatican remains in place though Francis has repeatedly signaled support for the organization.

In a late night press release Saturday (local time), New Ways Ministry (NWM) announced that they sponsored a group to meet with Francis at the Vatican today, in a discussion which lasted nearly 90 minutes.

They “urged” Francis “to move past the Church’s negative approach to gender-diverse people, and to encourage Church leaders to listen more attentively to the lives and faith of LGBTQ+ people.”

If the Pope ever approves this junk, I am done with the Catholic church, and will become Orthodox. If St. Peter can make mistakes, then Pope Francis can. Pray that the Pope denies this movement. I do not want to switch denominations.

Again. Not a denomination…

Regardless of the technicalities, the Pope is playing with dark forces.
Look Alex, Catholic or not, you must respect the faith here. I don’t agree with the Pope on everything but his comments and actions do not affect the infallible teachings of the Church. We’ve had bad popes before and we came through it. Jesus said the gates of hell will not prevail against His Church. So learn about the Church you are apart of. But you can’t go around in this forum shaking your fist at the faith we follow. I get this disappointment but at the same time you need to respect the office and those that follow Church teaching no matter what anyone else within the Church does.

I am done respecting the office of the Pope. He can do what he wants as God gave us free will, but I put no faith in one man, except the man Jesus Christ, Lord who died and rose again in accordance with the Scriptures. God bless though.

Whatever Alex. You obviously are going to believe what you want regardless if it’s true or not. It’s not just the pope you are disrespecting.

I can separate my negative opinions of the Pope from my positive opinions of the Church. But hey, we have free will here.

We also have rules here in the Catholic forum.

No, Pope Francis has not said that the Catholic Church should end her opposition to sex-change operations. But he has:

  • Agreed to a meeting with advocates of “gender-altering therapy” arranged by Sister Jeannine Gramick of New Ways Ministry, “wanted Pope Francis to hear directly from transgender and intersex Catholics and those who support them.”
  • Issued no public statement that would express reservations about the arguments the “transition” advocates had made.
  • Declined to reaffirm the teaching— issued only a few months ago in Dignitas Infinita— that “any sex-change intervention, as a rule, risks threatening the unique dignity the person has received from the moment of conception.”
  • Provided an opportunity for Sister Gramick to announce that at the she had sought— and the Pontiff “eagerly accepted the opportunity”— the Pope had listened to “the voice of the Holy Spirit calling the Catholic community to break out of old, ill-informed teachings and practices.”
In a news release celebrating the meeting, New Ways Ministry identified the people who had spoken with the Pope along with Sister Gramick: two transgender individuals, the parents of another, and the co-director of a “gender medicine clinic.” If the Pope had any moral qualms about the choices they had made, or the operations they promote, his reservations were not recorded.

Yep, things will get worse, but in the very end, Jesus will throw Satan into the lake of fire 1000 years after the end of the tribulation.

Just so you are aware those verses aren’t taken literally.

1000 years= very long time

Yeah, I think that is a metaphor as well. It could be 1 million years, or 1500 years, or a few centuries.

It won't change even if the Pope feels compassion.

And we SHOULD feel compassion FOR ALL regardless of their illness.

Hopefully the Pope gets censored for good. All churches have their weaknesses, and for the Catholics, it is the Pope. For the Protestants, it is the denial of the Eucharist.
