This is just a moment of pondering about God, so I thought this forum was the best place to praise God.
I look at specific parts of what is the universe and what I am. I marvel even at one part. Adding the pieces together in the grand picture of the universe and the supernatural existing alongside alongside the physical universe leaves me breathless.
What joy shall be experienced! What words can truly describe God and His wonders. The Earth as we see it with forests, and the crystal-blue sky with white clouds, and flowing grass that waves in the wind on the open plains of the Midwest or the African Savannah like waves crashing on the shore of the sea. The wonders of the universe from the startling Sombrero galaxy to the stars that crown the Milky Way! The Mind that invented every star and every subatomic quark that makes up the protons in every atom in the universe.
Ask yourself, the world considers some things ugly and other beautiful, so what does God see as beautiful? This universe that is literally in four dimensions length, depth, width, and time is Gods idea of beauty. I try to see every individual star within every galaxy this universe holds and my mine stretches until the edges of my understanding become blurred and fade off into nothingness, though I can at the very least of all things comprehend that understanding can go beyond the faded edge, but it is an understanding that I can not understand, maybe even something I can not be able to posses. An ability that is only possessed by higher minds, those of angels, and even when their understanding blurs and fades, the ability beyond that is alone belonging to God.
For this paragraph, Im going into metaphysics talked about in the body, so try not to chew me out too badly.
Take another piece and think bout man being made in the image of God. Man is designed with characteristics like God, but they are in a much lesser way than He is. For example, as God is immortal, so is a human being. Human beings are by definition spiritual beings permanently confined to a living human body until it dies and then the spirit and the body are separated. Consider the following: As C.S. Lewis wrote, There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations-these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, marry, snub, and exploit-immortal horrors or everlasting splendors .Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself, Lewis closed by saying, your neighbor is the holiest object presented to your senses. (Quote from Covenant Compaion).
This is just an inkling of my ponderings of God. Will you not join me in this joy?
