  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Since everyone is starting all these Pokemon threads I thought I'd share my own.

What would you guys think if Pokemon were actually real creatures that lived on Earth and we had the chance of being Pokemon trainers?

I wondered about this a few years ago and I thought it would be really cool if that happened. Of course it won't ever happen but it's always nice to dream.

What do you guys think?

Man...I think it'd be so cool! Haha. But knowing me I'd get bored. Like all they do is walk. Actually more I think about it, I would be a horrible trainer.... *sigh* Oh well...
(runs off to play Poke'mon Emerald)...Maybe in my dreams haha

Get a life, man. That's exactly what Satan wants those anime to do to you...make you want another reality. You should be content with the reality that God has lain out for you. It's dangerous to wish for another reality...trust me. To be able to control something like a Poke'mon for example, that easily, is desiring a sort of God-hood, whether you believe it or not. It's actually sub-conscious once you think about it.

Be careful.

Still, nothing wrong with a bit of fantasy.

Though I probably wouldn't keep a pokemon for the simple reason I've already got two cats and it seems like I've got about a dozen at times.

I suppose I would a Meowth then.

Actually, I'd probably keep a Jigglypuff. I'm six foot two, weigh 210 (though it looks about 190), have dark brown long hair, and a moustache and goatee, and I tend to wear black. So a Jigglypuff would throw people off balance I think.

A friend of mine once told me he'd love to be trapped in a video game like .hack//sign. Now that's dangerous thinking.

Anyway, I wouldn't be happy with a world where pokemon are real, because I wouldn't have the endurance to pursue it all the way through, like Foogie :p

Dude, it's a TV show. I mean yah, you got a point to a certain extend. We should accept the world God has given us and I'm pretty sure the poeple in here do. PuppyforChrist is merely trying to see what poeple think if God actually created Pokemon and such, that's all. PM me if you don't agree, I'd like to hear what your thoughts. ;)
