  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

We have property about an hour from where I live. It is so beautiful, but the snakes are horrendous. My sil and her husband are building on one side of the property. I think he's shot 10 snakes since they started. They won't kill the black ones though. They do have this shed that is already built, and there is this huge black snake that they let stay there because he eats all the mice. They call him Blacky.

Lots of wild turkeys and deer (for all you hunters out there), along with coyotes.

Anyway, the scary thing, is that the black snakes and copperheads here are cross breeding. The crosses - some are poisonous, and some are not. Very scary. We were seriously considering building on the same property as it's about 20 acres total. I'm thinking this might not be a good idea.

Reicht - I forgot you are a gun nut. My dad is a gun smith - he works as a service rep for a major gun manufacturer. Some time in Feburary, PM me with your address and I'll mail you a catalog (anyone else too if you are interested). I'm saying this now because I'll probably forget between now and then and if you are a true nut, you won't forget.

I know this isn't very Christian, but it is true. What comes around, goes around. She WILL get her's. You will probably murder your boss before it happens, but it will happen.

I'm mad because the good workers have to pick up her slack. S is about to lose two managers over this.
This is the same girl that felt the need to tell me the new manager got a bigger raise than I did. He is making more than I, and I've been there six years longer. She didn't tell me because she thought I should know. She was hoping I'd get mad and quit so she could have my hours.

Guess what? If both managers quit, she can do the work that the both of us do! She'll find out it ain't so great.

I wish he would.
I enjoy the job itself, but I get tired of having a stroke every week. She isn't dependable. She's done time at the looney ward. She blames it on a chemical imbalance.
I don't believe her anymore. It smells like one big act.
