Hi im a poet. i was wondering if anyone else wrote poetry. i would like to talk to other christian poets.

As of late, my poetry has given way to prose and I haven't written anything in verse in months.

I can't say how much I love writing poetry. I expressed in another forum that writing poetry is like a math puzzle for me: what goes here . . . try this thought . . . what if I recraft this phrase . . . write the poem in a different format . . . it is therapeutic! Constance

have you tried haiku? I did on a lark, thinking i'd never be able to make the form work, but it's easier than you think. Here's a scribble for spring time:
flowers in the trees
dreamy children look outside
class is almost done.

All my poems are sad... lol. They are all about abuse and such, but in the end its ok cuz The person in the poem always turns to the LORD!!!

hi, i write some have you written much yet lexi?

i write all the time. one of my favorites i wrote is:

Secrets of the sunrise

paint the skies with pinks and golds
many secrets the sunrise holds.
within each rising sun lies the strength to move on
within each rising sun i find a little pain gone.
as i think of the cross on which Jesus laid
all the bad memories seem to fade
so i sit back and watch God pain the skies
and thank him for the secrets within the sunrise.
