  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Let Dragons Fly Free
by Cenerue

Huge wings flapping heavily, the great green dragon flies
Horned head turning this way and that, he searches the barren skies.

Flames leap from flaring nostrils as he searches for the scent
Amber eyes scan continually to see where his mate went

She was here only hours before and flying by his side
When the humans began shooting from below, black arrows flying high

They pierced his mate and she did fall, but he flew on without seeing
Now he circles for her round and round lifting up his head and keening

He cries out to her again but she does not heed his call
For the humans took her body as a prize when she did fall

"Such a noble head to mount on my wall, such a beautiful coat of green scales!"
These are the thoughts that run through men's heads as the male dragon grieves and wails

Why do we feel the need to dominate and destroy? Why can't we let the dragons be?
Why can't we let something beautiful and wild roam unmolested and free?

At nightfall, the male gives up his hopeless quest. He flies on, another mate he may find
As ever smaller the race of dragons will shrink from the cruelty of selfish mankind.
