Poem: I Am

[wayfaring man]

I Am

I am here .

And so are you .

And together ,

We do the things we do .

Now , you might not care

For my style or my form ;

But have a little mercy

And smile when I'm warm .

'Cause there's no use in being enemies .

God knows there's plenty of suffering ;

It's absurd that we should make things worse .

So for heaven's sake on earth ,

Let's be a blessing to each other -

Not a curse !
