  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I prefer pocket carry, rather than a separate external holster. Good pocket holsters are hard to find, and some of those I tried left parts of my gun uncovered, causing holes to be worn in my pockets.

Looking around in a local gun shop the other day, I found a good one: a Blackhawk Tecgrip.
The outside is soft fabric which grips the pocket, keeping it in place when the gun is withdrawn, and the construction is stiff enough to hold it open for replacing the gun.

It's all synthetic fabric, and machine washable. I really like it.

Any other pocket carriers here? What's your favorite holster?

I have a Remora that I like, and my other is the Blackhawk you discovered.

I have a new carry pistol arriving Tuesday that is not proper for pocket carry. It will be in a IWB Don Hume leather or a OWB kydex holster. It's a Glock 19 Gen 5 MOS.

Didn't like the idea of only having 6 rounds available, so now I have 15.
