You are completely bereft of basic comprehension skills "chief".
Q also V please:It's back to you chief show us the evidence the vote was rigged in 2006.
In an effort to leave nothing to chance, Kerr says, an anti-Pluto faction of the IAU waited to call the controversial vote until the end of a global conference in Prague. By that time, most of the planetary scientists, Pluto’s staunchest defenders, had gone home.
“The reality is, when they did that, they actually rigged the vote. … It wasn’t exactly done on the up and up.”
Not only is the IAU’s definition of a planet 15 years ago roundly ignored by planetary scientists, but the IAU’s use of a vote made science seem arbitrary and political, undermining trust in science itself.
In that light, I think it's safe to say that science's version of Pluto's reality took a hike, didn't it?
I don't think you'd recognize it, as your posting history shows. So come on, AV. Give me an example of a time when reality was wrong?
Totally ridiculous.
This is not an example of vote rigging.
Well, that was a scholarly refutation.Totally ridiculous.
Is that list exhaustive?sjastro said:Show us how the vote was rigged using these parameters as a basis.
Another example of your posts degenerating into pure drivel when you get backed into a corner.Well, that was a scholarly refutation. Is that list exhaustive?
Actually I can.You clearly cannot provide evidence for vote rigging.
Pluto (minor-planet designation: 134340 Pluto) is a dwarf planet in the Kuiper belt, a ring of bodies beyond the orbit of Neptune.
I don't think you'd recognize it, as your posting history shows.
I'm not going to put a dollar in a video machine that's not plugged in.
Completely illogical and irrational.
Don't forget hanging and pregnant chad.Completely illogical and irrational.
Even if a vote was taken which it wasn't as a show of hands revealed an overwhelming majority to demote Pluto, how do would know the outcome was the result of a rigged vote instead of legitimate technical reasons.
You fail the pub test miserably because you have no evidence that any one or more of the following characteristics for a rigged vote occurred.
· Misleading or confusing ballot papers. ...
· Ballot stuffing. ...
· Misrecording of votes. ...
· Misuse of proxy votes. ...
· Destruction or invalidation of ballots. ...
· Tampering with electronic voting systems. ...
· Voter impersonation. ...
I'm just one man here.I guess the only real reason AV doesn't like Pluto being changed is because it messes with his perceived status quo.
Which makes sense.
The New Mexico House of Representatives passed a resolution in honor of Tombaugh, a longtime resident of that state, that declared that Pluto will always be considered a planet while in New Mexican skies and that March 13, 2007, was Pluto Planet Day.
I'm just one man here
LOLOne man with a fixation. Well, one of many fixations.
LOL
And the New Mexico House of Representatives, the Illinois Senate, and the California State Assembly aren't?
I see. This isn't about them. This is just about you. You're the one who brings Pluto up every chance they get.
I see.
Well, you do have a point, since I don't get paid to bring it up.
You know? for a legitimate vote?
