Be patient and grow in God's grace. He wants to live in us and through us as vessels to pour out blessing on others in love. Love has much to do with action, and not just mental assention or saying with the mouth. Our confession of faith is also how we live the lives we have been given - the fruit of our lives and what we bear as evidence to what we profess with our mouths. The things we do count as much or more than what we say.
Jesus tells us to feed him when He was hungry and to clothe Him when He was naked. He asks if we visited Him when He was sick or if we gave Him shelter when a stranger.
When we help the poor or do works of charity, we have done these things to Jesus. So be patient and let God show you His will for you in this life. If you obey each new thing He shows you and grow towards Him, you will grow more towards His perfect will for you. One step at a time, and not all at once.
God bless....
Luke 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
I JOHN 3:16-19 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with ACTIONS and TRUTH. This then is how we KNOW that we belong to the truth and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence whenever our hearts condemn us.
JAMES 2:1-4-19 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "go I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is DEAD. But someone will say. "You have faith; I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I Do. You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that - and shudder.
MATT. 25:31-45 When the Son of Man comes in his glory....He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.....Then he will say to those on his left,'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil & his angels. FOR I WAS HUNGRY & YOU GAVE ME NOTHING TO EAT, I WAS THIRSTY & YOU GAVE ME NOTHING TO DRINK, I WAS A STRANGER & YOU DID NOT INVITE ME IN, I NEEDED CLOTHES AND YOU DID NOT CLOTHE ME, I WAS SICK AND IN PRISON, AND YOU DID-- NOT LOOK AFTER ME.". "Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me."
John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
