CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hiddenvalleys, glad that you're a believer and are serving Yahweh. My heart goes out to you.
I offer you this - Pride is a problem for many of us. I was reading tonight and realized that Yahweh was showing that about myself and repented.
We just have to define ourselves the way Yahweh does such as:
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psa 27:1
"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. 2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved." Psa 62:1-2
When we become believers, He gives to us. I'm finding that Yahweh isn't going to make me show the fruit of The Spirit but I've got to make those daily - hour by hour - choices. Of course, I can't do it without Yahweh's overwhelming help. Plus I ask Him to help me see others the way He does.
Praying for you, too. Would you pray for me also?
