The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
Please take away the pain.

I know that there's no "magic verse" to make all your pain go away; it takes time and patience. But He will reward you for waiting.
God LOVES you. He loves you so much, more than you know. He will take care of you. Just trust in Him.
Romans 8:38-39: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

If you don't have anyone else to talk to, please call a crisis hotline in your area. They may be able to help you feel better.

I know this doesnt help much and it just sounds like words, but I swear to you, it WILL get better!!! It will take time, as long as it takes, but things will change. There are people who want to help you. Just take life 1 breathe at a time... you just took a breath so you can do it again. Please hang in there.

I know it's hard to just open a Bible and find comfort right away. The Bible is many books, many of which give an account of history. But don't give up, the comfort is there.
Here is a list of comfort Scriptures. I hope you will find something here to warm your heart.
Psalm 23 The Lord is your Shepherd, He leads you and guides you.
Psalm 27 The Lord is your light and your salvation--there is no one you should fear.
Psalm 91 Those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High are given many promises, including protection, shelter, and long life.
Psalm 139 You are fearfully and wonderfully made, God knows you, He knitted you together in your mother's womb, He is with you, He will never leave you, even when you try to leave Him.
The book of John--read it verse by verse, pray it. Here is God's promise to you that because He loves you so much He sent His Son into the world to die for you, so that you could live for Him.
The book of 1 John--continue reading that God is love, and that one day you will be like Him.
There are many more Scriptures. Hebrews 13:5 says that God will never leave you or forsake you. Romans 10:13 says that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. There are many more, if you want, I will give you more.

Yes, God made all the people one person. God knows that you have been fractured. He knows this, and it grieves His heart that His little daughter was hurt so much. God loves you. Like and good father, He wants you to be well.

In the Bible it says we have the mind of Christ. Here is hope: Jesus Christ is in perfect health, that is what He wants for you, too.
You can get well, you can be completely integrated. God means for you to be well, He is on your side, He will help you.
