  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Me and this girl have been talking.
We've been talking for about 2 months now.
She gave me a "frienship" poem and im wondering if i need to do the same.
I do like this girl and i think she likes me.
What can i do in this situation.

How can i maintain this friendship so it can grow to more than a friendship.

You don't need to give her a poem back ... unless you both have a fondness for poems and that's your style. But giving her something or doing something with her that makes her feel special would let her know that you like her and could start to move your relationship into more than a friendship. So figure out what she likes and dislikes (if you haven't already) and do something with that. And it doesn't have to be expensive or extravagant - sometimes the simple gestures can mean a lot.

Yeah it doesn't have to be a poem, just make it special.

Although I would consider trying to move forward and ask her out. I've never had any friends suddenly write me a poem so to me that seems to indicate that she's looking for something more and is trying to indicate this to you.

I could be wrong but I find it odd that a "friend" would suddenly write you a poem.

Take her out on a date. nothing too fancy, just a casual place and start talking to her. ask her questions. if you still like her, leave an opening for yourself for another date. respect her, and get her home on time. and pay for everything. and open doors. that stuff is just gentlemanly.
