The Cd you are looking for is either their first project which is self titled "Jars of Clay" or the second album called "Much Afraid" Both of these albums are great and i recommend you start out with their first recording. ALL of the songs are great.

But here is a list of their albums, some you would have to scour Ebay to find, but if you're a Jars nut like me, you'll find them and you'll buy them. :)

Frail--Demo of their first release. Out of print, hard to find.

Jars of Clay--The best

Seat Belt Tuba--Live acoustic of some of their songs. Out of print.

Much Afraid--Second Best

Stringtown--Live CD

If I left the Zoo--Last Best

White Elephant Sessions--Not a bad little remix cd

11th Hour--Very good album overall

Furthermore--I would say this ties with their first album. Great stuff.

Who We Are Instead--Solid stuff with a little blues thrown in.
Jars is a great band, try finding these cd's, you won't be disappointed.

Quick question for you guys - in regards to "further more." I got two copies (one for me and one for a friend), and on the live CD, I get funny noises that aren't recorded noises. Do you get these too?

I sometimes see Jars Of Clay as two seperate bands - as in Eleventh Hour to Who we are instead - they are totally different - but EXCELLENT.
