I am going through some stuff (the details of which I would rather not go into). It is hard and there are times (becoming more and more frequent) when giving up would seem so much easier. I know this to be a lie. Your support in prayer would be much appreciated.

In Job 40:8 God asked Job, “Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself?

I have thought of this many many times.
Let God remain true and every man a liar.
In John when many of the disciples walked away from Jesus {interestingly it is John 666} he didn't try to stop them.
He turned to Peter and asked him if he was going to leave also. Peters response? "Lord to whom shall we go?
You have the words of eternal life."
Giving up is an option, but where would you go?

Ydouxist, I am in no way discrediting the judgment of God. As far as giving up...it is not God I am giving up on but the dealing with the situations at hand

I'm glad to hear it's not God you are giving up on.
I had a restaurant for 20 + years that I struggled to keep open.
I finally shut it down. You can fight to hold on to something but if nothing changes, nothing changes.

foadle, may i suggest doing what you can do and letting God do what He can do?

whenever we get into situations like this our pastor suggests we make two lists.
on the first one we write what we can do, and on the second list we write what we can't do.

what we can do we do, and what we can't do we are directed to turn over to God in prayer.

I will pray.. can I come into agreement with you for anything even if you have to PM me?? Sometimes things don't appear to change.. but that doesn't mean they never will.. I think we are not meant to carry loads on our own.. I know Jesus takes our load.. yes.. but when it comes to praying.. we are meant to do that.. and pray for each other.. We are to call things that be not as though they were.. God brings the change.. but we are the ones who need to have faith and pray.. and believe and trust for the change..

Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. Galations 6:9

Thank you to all who have prayed. The attacks on my health have eased so though there is still stuff I am going through I am in better condition to deal with it. That is to say..stop taking it all on board for me to sort and give it to God consistently something I was not doing so well in the three weeks I was sick.
