Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for healing for those who suffer from various forms of mental illness; may they be lifted from suffering and have comfort and healing; may they face each day with courage and insight; may they have discernment concerning their issues and begin a road to recovery; may they have peace and balance in their minds and bodies; may their clarity and hope be restored; may they have strength to persevere and the courage to reach out for help when they are in need; may many people of support be guided to their paths to assist them in their needs; may they receive love and compassion from others; may the stigma of mental illness be erased in the hearts of those who judge; may the leaders of our countries have guidance to find answers concerning the needs of those who need treatment but can’t afford it; may they find a swift and compassionate resolution; Father, please bring healing and peace to those who suffer needlessly. I just want to say thank you for this prayer and add mine to it. I would also like to ask Father God to help those with mental illness who have never told anyone they are suffering to show them they are loved by you and many others and help is there for them if they will only talk to someone about it. I lost my son who was only 21 last year due to the fact that no one knew what he was going through.

I stand in agreement with these two sisters praying for those with mental illness. I pray that satan loose our loved ones and rebuke him far from them. I pray that they take Jesus truly as their Lord and Savior; that they put Him first in all things; continually put their trust on and eyes on Him so they forget about the cares of this world.

I posted in about this yesterday saying thanks to the first person who spoke of Mental illness. At that point there was only me sent a thank-you in as i'm also a sufferer of Manic Deppression/Bipolar disorder. When I looked today at the responses of others I praise the Lord as so many of us try and hide our Mental Health illness because of the stigma that is in the world about it. It was also so good to see all you guys be open in admitting you have Mental Health illnessess.

This really showed me how the Lord makes us so different, honest and truthful, the more the honesty the more we can help and pray for one another without a fear of what the world says. Although I suffer myself with these problems I also voluntary counsel people with schizophrenia, manic depression, and other illnessess linked so anyone who fancies PM me can do! What I think would be a wonderful idea is if we had a constant running thread for this so we can help one another when we hit a downer.

Lord I thankyou for everyones honesty in this thread and pray it will continue or even put it as one of the main prayer requests at the top of the page alongside the cancer one and others! I continue to praise you Lord that you have brought this to light and may it encourage all those suffering. Thanks to all who are praying for us!

keep this thread up and running Jane, please feel free to jump onboard and do the same if you like. I am finding out in so many ways that it really is good to just be totally open and honest with EVERYthing not just some things because once the truth is exposed, the enemy no longer has us in bondage. So . . .it really is true that the truth shall set you free!

Lord, I stand in agreement with Jane and everyone else who posts on this thread and stops by to visit and pray (without leaving a post). Lord, you know our hearts and that we truly want to help people who suffer with these illnesses. They are in alot of ways harder to deal with than physical ailments so I lift them up to You Lord and I give them to You.

Be with those of us in this thread and in the world who do not have these types of problems Lord. Let us be kind to those who suffer from mental illnesses and show them love and acceptance like Jesus would.

Give us the discernment to know when to help and when to not enable in all things.
