well today we got the news that they have reason to believe that Sammy has some swelling in his brain. He goes for his MRI on thursday the 19th. They first told me the 30th then I called and cried so they pushed it to the 19th.. youd think that a swelling in an toddler would be more pressing but I guess theres more involved in it than i think.. im so torn up about this.. been crying all day! it started when he turned 12 months.. he was doing alot of head banging which we thought was normal.. but he then moved the front of his head where he would hit really hard on walls, floors anything that was solid.. and he pulls on his head and bangs it with his hands.. well last night he had a bad episode that also included massive vomiting. like projectile alll the way and no sign of stopping. then it occured to me that this is the 3rd time its happend on the same exact time and day for the past 6 weeks. so there is a pattern to it. we were up all night in the ER. and im exhausted and tired and upset.. you name it. Im relying soley on my Faith right now..I know GOD has it in controll. so Im letting him take care of it.. but I still all the prayers I can get!!!!!

In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I would think they could schedule you in sooner. Is there a local office (not the hospital) that can do the MRI?

Lord I lift Sammy up right now to you. Lord I ask that you place your healing hand on his head. Lord this is your child... You see his Mom's heart and her suffering because of this. Lord I just ask that you comfort his Mom and give her the courage to and peace she needs to deal with whatever your will is. Lord I know you don't do anything in vain. I pray that you protect them and shower them with your holy spirit so that they may be okay with whatever you decide. Let your will be done. In the name of Jesus... Amen.
